Artists Biography
The imaginative mind behind tric-Art.com is Nicholas Tricomi. Born in Worcester, Massachusetts, Nick discovered his creative side almost immediately. As a little boy he liked to sketch, draw and paint. Growing up, Nick admired the many works of Salvador Dali and his surrealistic perspective on life. While attending Wachusett Regional High School in Holden, Massachusetts, he took as many art classes as allowed. From these classes he painted one of his most creative and memorable pieces, his self-portrait. Using the same style that he created his self portrait in, this inspired Nick to sketch and then paint many other faces. After high school, Nick took classes at Worcester Technical Institute and Quinsigamond Community College where he studied commercial art and art history. He later went on to study with the Art Instruction Schools, based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. There he received a MERIT AWARD for self-discipline, commendable study habits and the ability to pursue an independent study program. Nick graduated in October 2005 with a certificate of completion. He recently received a Masters Certificate for studying Digital Multimedia, 2D Animation, Special Effects and Web Design at American International College. There he gained the skills toward one of the fastest growing fields in the country. Nick has been featured in the Telegram and Gazette and the Worcester Magazine with his most famous painting Salvador displayed at the 1st annual stART on the Street Art Festival in Worcester, MA. Even though Nick works full time, he dedicates most of his free moments to his artwork, releasing as much tension and negative energy as possible.
